Leuckart was an eminent German Zoologist whose work dates back to the late 19th Century. Leuckart was a contemporary of Ernst Haeckel and they studied newly discovered microscopic deep sea organisms as well as other fascinating aspects of the natural world.
Leuckart's work was beautifully presented on a larger format than most charts. Its level of detail and fascinating subject matter make these charts highly sought after and held in museum collections.
This chart is an original well over 100 years in age and not a modern reproduction. There will be signs of wear and use commensurate with age.
